CPA Participates in 13th China Intellectual Property Annual Conference
The 13th China Intellectual Property Annual Conference (CIPAC) has been successfully held in Beijing on 13-14 September 2024. The event featured 1 main forum, 11 sub-forums, and over 20 parallel forums, gathering participants from 39 countries and 4 international organisations to discuss innovation-related topics and help advance the progress of intellectual property business.
About 150 domestic and foreign guests were invited to give speeches for the event. China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) commissioner Mr. Shen Changyu in his speech remarked that this edition of CIPAC with a theme of "Intellectual Property (IP) Empowering New Quality Productive Forces" has a great significance. As he said, to develop and empower new quality productive forces, it is essential to have a firm grasp of the key role scientific and technological innovation plays in improving productivity, to sustain the strengthening of legal protection of IP rights, and to give full play to the important roles of IP in incentivising high-level innovation.
Our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), in addition to participating in the conference, also set up a booth at the International Patent and Trademark Service and Product Exhibition held during the session, and we are glad that our booth has attracted many domestic and foreign attendants to come visit and enquire about our services. Mr. Ma Yongli, manager of our International Filing Department, and Mr. Cao Ruo, manager of Legal Affairs Department, along with other colleagues, warmly received guests visiting our booth, and earnestly answered questions and queries from the guests, capitalising on their professional expertise and industry experience. Our representatives all made good efforts to establish connections with innovation entities and conduct in-depth exchanges with long-time associates during the conference.

Our firm also took advantage of this annual conference to draw attention of the representatives from various sectors to the upcoming 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), to be held in Beijing from 26-30 November 2024.
