CPA Invited to Give Lecture on Foreign-related IP Protection and Information Use
On 31 July 2024, a training event featuring special lectures on "Foreign-related intellectual property protection and information use" was held in Zhuhai in Guangdong province, China. The lecture was hosted by the Zhuhai Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and undertaken by Zhuhai Chamber of International Commerce and China (Zhuhai) Intellectual Property Protection Center.
China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) Shenzhen Office director Ms. Wang Danqing and CPA International Filing Department deputy manager Ms. Rachel Zhang were invited to give a lecture for the training. The event attracted about 80 participants, who were mainly representatives from cross-border e-commerce firms, trading companies, and export-oriented enterprises.
CPA Shenzhen Office director Ms. Wang's lecture was on the theme of "Professional empowerment: IP agencies escorting enterprises' high-standard going overseas". She briefed on the patent application status of Chinese companies going global, and had in-depth discussion with the participating representatives surrounding what full-chain and one-stop IP services may be provided by IP firms for domestic enterprises' going overseas.
CPA International Filing Department deputy manager Ms. Zhang's lecture, on the theme of "Introducing the trademark systems and strategies for enterprises' going overseas", compared China trademarks and overseas trademarks, named the regional organisations for trademark registration abroad, expounded the key features in trademark registration processes of popular countries or region, and explored whether overseas trademark registration equates to going overseas.
Ms. Wang and Ms. Zhang's lectures induced lively discussion and productive interaction. With their earnest replies to questions raised by the participants and generous offering of professional opinions and suggestions, the lectures were informative, inspiring and very well-received.
During the training session, CPA also introduced the upcoming 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo to the participants, and hoped that the enterprises will not miss this important event.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of CPA.
