Four Chinese Enterprises Selected as Finalists to Compete for 2024 WIPO Global Awards

Recently, the 2024 list of finalists for the WIPO Global Awards was announced. The list comprised 25 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups from 19 countries which will become one of the eight winners for the WIPO Global Awards 2024.

The awards are exclusively dedicated to the small-business community for their exceptional achievements in making smart use of intellectual property (IP) for commercialisation products and services while also bringing a positive contribution to society through their innovation and creativity.

This year's competition attracted submission of 667 applications from 107 countries, representing various sectors including creative industries, food, environment, and health. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 12 July 2024, held during the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO.

Among the list of finalists were four Chinese companies, namely, Hangzhou Hyperchain Technology, which offers comprehensive blockchain solutions to enhance data security, interoperability, and efficiency in various sectors; Hangzhou RoboCT Technology, whose Lower Extremity Exoskeleton Walking Rehabilitator aids mobility for patients with lower limb impairments; Healinno (Beijing) Medical Technology, whose intelligent image-guided automated waterjet surgical robot facilitates benign prostatic hyperplasia treatments; and Zhuhai Unicook Tech, which has developed advanced commercial kitchen robots and intelligent cooking software systems for chain restaurants.
