CNIPA Publishes Draft Revision of Administrative Reconsideration Rules for Public Comments

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has recently published the revised Rules on Administrative Reconsideration of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (Draft for Comments) for public consultation. Interested parties may reflect their views on the draft rules via email, fax, or by mail to Department of Treaty and Law of the CNIPA, by the deadline of 9 March 2024.

The Rules on Administrative Reconsideration of the CNIPA were revised with a view to modifying and improving the existing provisions thereof, which have been in force since 1 September 2012. Adaptive amendments and clarifications are needed to align with the new requirements on the administrative reconsideration work of the CNIPA in connection with its institutional reform some years ago and the revised Administrative Reconsideration Law effective 1 January 2024.
