CPA General Manager and Alumni Representatives Attend Peking University IP School 30th Anniversary Commemorative Symposium
On 21 May 2023, the Intellectual Property School of Peking University ("the IP School") celebrated its 30th anniversary and held commemorative symposium and forum on the theme of "A global perspective on internet frontier technology governance". Mr. Zhu Li, deputy chief judge of the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People's Court; Ms. Liu Shuangyu, president of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court; Ms. Liu Hua, director of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Office in China; representatives from Peking University and other academic institutions, research institutes, and think tanks; as well as practitioners from the IP industry attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe and CPA vice chairman (and council chairman of the IP School) Mr. Wong Kam Fu were also present and spoke for the occasion. CPA vice chairman Mr. Wong in his speech reviewed the development of China’s IP industry and the founding process of the IP School, among which his donation toward the establishment of the IP School to actualise his wish of contributing to the promotion of the nation's IP education. Mr. Wong also expressed his high expectations for the future of the IP School.
CPA general manager Mr. Wu thanked the IP School for its significant contribution to the cultivation of IP talents, and expressed CPA's honour and pleasure to have participated in the IP School's development through sponsorship, setting up scholarships and other means. And he hoped to see deepening cooperation between CPA and the IP School so that both sides can jointly contribute further to the national plan of building China into a powerful IP country.
In addition to general manager Mr. Wu, CPA Shenzhen Office director Ms. Wang Danqing and Electronics & Electricity Department manager Mr. Liu Peng, as graduates of the IP School and CPA's alumni representatives, also attended the commemorative event.
