CPA Delegation Attends 145th International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting
From 16 to 20 May 2023, a delegation of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) led by CPA deputy general manager Mr. Wang Jingchao attended the 145th Annual Meeting of International Trademark Association (INTA) held in Singapore. Apart from deputy general manager Mr. Wang, members of the delegation included CPA Tokyo Office director Mr. Yang Jianzhong, Beijing Office Trademark Department deputy managers Mr. Li Yue and Ms. Rachel Zhang, and senior trademark attorneys Ms. Du Shanshan and Mr. Justin Jiang.

This year's INTA Annual Meeting, the world’s largest event for brand owners and IP professionals, carried a theme of “The Business of Innovation”, which explored and discussed issues such as emerging technologies shaping the future of brands, value of intangible assets, innovation and intangible asset management, IP valuation, and IP for entrepreneurs. The five-day meeting featured myriad activities including educational and business development programmes, networking opportunities, and exhibitions showcasing the latest technologies in IP from nearly 100 exhibitors.

After several years' virtual meetings during the Covid-19 pandemic, our colleagues were especially pleased to be able to reconnect with clients and associates as well as meet new friends in person, sharing experience during the past few years, making extensive and in-depth business exchanges, briefing on the latest IP development in China, and answering queries in connection with seeking IP protection in China. It has been announced that the next INTA annual meeting will be held in Atlanta, Georgia of the U.S. from 18 to 22 May 2024.
INTA, founded in 1878, is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York City with a growing international membership now spanning 165 countries. In Asia-Pacific, INTA has nearly 600 member organisations representing more than 3,100 individuals, including brand owners from major corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and law firms.
