CPA Honoured Again as Top Patent Firm in China & Six CPA Litigators/Attorneys Recommended in 2023 Edition of IAM Patent 1000
The UK magazine Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) has recently released its 2023 edition of IAM Patent 1000, an authoritative guide for the world's top patent firms and professionals. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) is pleased to share that it was named a gold band firm in patent prosecution and a silver band firm in patent litigation in China. Reflecting CPA's overall strong performance in the patent field, the honours have been conferred to our firm for 12 consecutive years since the launch of the IAM Patent 1000 rankings twelve years ago.
CPA was highly praised in IAM 1000's firms profile, and as IAM wrote, "The market consensus is nothing but overwhelmingly positive":
"When it comes to patent work in the domestic Chinese market, few can match the depth and breadth of China Patent Agent (CPA)." "I would think that CPA is one of the best firms there is in China nowadays, for both prosecution work and for invalidity proceedings. In infringement proceedings, the technical qualities of the CPA team are what makes them stand out from the competition." Comfortably sitting in the gold tier alongside other renowned prosecution shops, the group has both the technical and legal chops to get the job done and to the highest standard. Despite its unparalleled prowess on the prosecution front, CPA's extensive repertoire of knowledge also makes it a formidable force in the litigation space – it has won mandates from illustrious overseas brands.
Alongside the firms list, the IAM guide further recognised six outstanding representatives of our firm, namely, CPA general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe, assistant general manager Mr. Xiong Yanfeng, and litigator Mr. Tang Chunlong in the category of patent litigation; and patent attorneys Mr. Liu Chunyuan, Mr. Wayne Ma, and Mr. Zou Songqing in the category of patent prosecution.
The IAM Patent 1000 is a well-trusted resource for identifying leading patent firms and individuals in key jurisdictions around the globe. To arrive at the 2023 rankings, IAM undertook extensive research in combination with thousands of interviews conducted with attorneys at law, patent attorneys, and in-house counsel over five months in key jurisdictions, taking into account factors such as candidates' depth of knowledge, professional skills, market presence, service scope and quality, as well as peer and client feedback.
